God Almighty made man the perfect manifestation and mirror of His glory and beauty, amongst all creation and in this context, placed him on the throne of the Caliphate of God on earth and said:
«إِنِّى جَاعِلٌ فِى الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً»
I will appoint a successor on earth.
Because of this, man was able to carry the burden of the trust that heaven and earth could not bear.
«إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْأَمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمَـوَ تِ وَ الْأَرْضِ وَ الْجِبَالِ فَأَبَيْنَ أَن يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَ أَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَ حَمَلَهَا الاْءِنسَانُ»
We entrusted the heavens and the earth and the mountains, they refused to bear it, and they feared it, and man carried it.
God Almighty also bestowed on man a special intellectual capacity to manifest the position of the Divine Khilafah, the manifestation of the attributes of glory and beauty, and the realization of the trust of the Divine Wilayah.
«وَ عَلَّمَ ءَادَمَ الْأَسْمَآءَ كُلَّهَا»
And [God] taught Adam all the names.
