When a person’s eyes and ears are not bound and controlled, his or her heart engagement increases. Because in addition to being in the darkness of sin, seeing or hearing the wealth and possessions of others attracts him towards the world, and in the pursuit of them one is always tempted to compete with others or to surpass them. Even failure to achieve it or unable to acquire them creates a state of grief and sorrow in his heart towards the wealth of others.

This condition causes other bad qualities in the heart such as greed or jealousy of other people.

But a sincere person, because he does not pay much attention to the world and its affairs, does not suffer from these conditions due to controlling his eyes and ears.
